Why Elders?

No Elder Should Spend Their Final Years Alone

Every elder deserves care, dignity, and a place to call home.

Yet thousands of elderly individuals in India are abandoned, neglected, or left without access to food, healthcare, and emotional support. Many spend their final years alone, struggling to meet even their most basic needs.

At Manitham Trust, we believe every elder deserves to live with dignity, comfort, and compassion. Through our Old Age & Bedridden Care Centre, rescue missions, meal programmes, and rehabilitation initiatives, we provide support to those who have nowhere else to turn.

Who We Are

Founded in 2012, Manitham Trust is a social welfare organisation based in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. What began as a mission to help abandoned elders has grown into a movement supporting vulnerable children, women, and communities through education, nutrition, rehabilitation, and care.
